What is direct deposit and how does it work?
Instead of waiting for a paper check in the mail, direct deposit allows you to automatically receive your hard-earned paychecks into your Step or Step Black Account. It’s convenient, secure, and saves you a trip to the bank.
How do you set up Step direct deposit?
Setting up direct deposit with Step is simple. Open the Step app, tap on Move Money, and select Direct Deposit. You can set it up instantly by choosing your employer, signing in to your payroll provider, and setting your deposit allocations.
If your employer isn't listed, you can either share a prefilled direct deposit form with them or manually copy your account and routing numbers to provide directly.
How early do you get paid with Step direct deposit?
When you set up direct deposit in the Step app, your paycheck will be available as soon as Step receives it. That’s often up to two days earlier than you’d get it at some traditional financial institutions.
Can I really get Step Black for free with direct deposit?
